Question: Should Weights be entered in Pounds or Kilos?

Answer: Should weights be entered in pounds or kilograms? In fact it doesn't really matter. Weights are relative. As long as the values entered are ALL in the same unit of measure, then the calculations will be fine. Of course, when traveling, there may be a situation where all the tow vehicle, trailer, and hitch settings have all been entered in pounds, and the weigh scale on the trip is set to kilos (or vice versa). Then what?" Easy. Just enter the value in kilograms, give your device a shake, and tap 'KGS to LBS'. Viola! All your weighed measures are now in pounds! And of course the revers works as well. In fact, you can shake on any settings view, and the options will come up to clear or convert your entered values. The only exception to this is the hitch settings view where, should the selection be made to 'Clear All Values', the percentage values will set back to their 'safe' defaults of 10 (low) and 15 (high) percent.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember that ALL values MUST be in the same unit of measure. If you change from kgs to pounds on one view, remember that all other values must also be set to pounds (and, of course, vice versa.)"

Question: I keep seeing 'data missing' in the results. How do I resolve this?

Answer: If you keep seeing 'data missing' in the Results View, the most likely explanation is that certain vehicle, trailer or hitch settings have not yet been set in the application. It is very important to set all these settings in order to get the most accurate results. Check your door frame, manufacturer's website, and trailer which will give you all the figures you need in order to set up the calculator properly. Make sure you set the proper year, make and model for your vehicle if looking online!"

Question: What formulas are used to do the calculations?
