If you haul a travel trailer or fifth wheel, and you're interested in making sure your weight limits are all ok before you head out on the road, then this is the app for you. Safe towing is becoming more of a concern in some jurisdictions. More and more recreational towers are being stopped, checked and fined where weights are out of line. Tow Check! calculates 8 different values for you, including the all-important "tongue" or "hitch weight". (No more messing around with 2x4s, pipes and bricks.) All you need to do is weigh once without the trailer, once with it, check your results, and if everything is in line, you're good to go!

If you have a load-levelling hitch, the calculator can also tell you how much difference it's making to your axle weights (this does require one more little drive over the scales, but it's worth doing.)

Start by entering all your tow vehicle, hitch, and trailer information in the settings part of the app. You'll only ever have to do this once unless you change vehicles, trailers, or hitches. Once that's done, just weigh up and check the results. The calculator even gives you hints about how to correct the problems.

Entered all your weights in pounds and the scale you're on measures in kilos? No problem. Enter the weight in kilos, give the app a shake and the values you entered will change from kilos to pounds or pounds to kilos at the press of a button. (Just remember to make sure that ALL values you entered are in the same unit of measure, and you're good to go. If you change from kilos to pounds on one screen, for example, make sure all your other measurements have been entered in pounds as well.)
